Heart and a Home     (by Jakki Rogue)

My musical path has found me in some interesting places since the release of my CD “take a look at this’.
It has been my destiny to move sideways a lot before going forward.
Thus, my music education has included the achievement of a Grade 9 Royal Conservatory Piano Diploma,
the privilege of giving music instruction to multitudes of children and even adults in Pictou County, Nova Scotia
as well as many opportunities to perform at various venues here on the east coast of Canada, the place I call my home.
One of those venues has been the annual Roots for Youth fundraiser, called “A Heart and a Home”.
The first year this event took place, I was encouraged by the Reverand Heather Landry, to compose a song for the finale.
That in itself was a wonderful journey that encompassed many emotions I have about children and family.
The result is the song that is here for one and all to hear.
